Sumaria Systems awarded two contract seats within ASTRO ID/IQ

DANVERS, Mass. – Sumaria Systems, LLC, has been awarded a seat on both pools, or specialty areas that it bid on ASTRO.

ASTRO is a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle using FAR 16 Ordering Procedures. The contract has a 10-year period of performance and carries an unlimited value, with expectations of exceeding $100B over its life; (five-year base period, one five-year option).

ASTRO is designed to meet Department of Defense (and Combatant Commands) mission requirements supporting operations, maintenance, readiness, development, research and development, hardware, and systems integration of manned, unmanned, and optionally manned systems, robotics, and platforms, to include services supporting those systems within the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission areas.

The two areas where Sumaria will provide support are in the Development & Systems Integration pool and the Support pool. The Development and Systems Integration pool involves systems integration, systems improvement, and/or systems engineering associated with manned, unmanned, and optionally manned platforms. The Support pool will entail work supporting services (except training) required for successful execution of a product, program, project, or process; the planning necessary to support operational missions; and the analysis of the results of an operational mission.

“GSA’s decision to award Sumaria spots on two of the ASTRO pools, signifies their trust in our capabilities and recognizes our success in serving the Department of Defense and other federal agencies with over three decades of exceptional service and dedication,” said Mark Biagetti, Sumaria’s President.
